Hi.

Welcome to my blog where I share the gems I've learned along the way. Sharing is caring, my friends... and I didn't go through all these struggles for nothin', y'all!  I hope to offer you hope, encouragement, and a laugh or two along the way!

Knox - Barnett boy #2

Knox - Barnett boy #2

Welcome natural born swimmer (literally).
On May 2nd 2013,  Knox Anderson Barnett joined our family.  I plan to retype/repost the birth stories of both boys, as my old blog where they were initially recorded was accidedntally deleted by google (i'm still a little bitter).  But, to quickly sum it up...  it was amazing!  I recently stated that when I look at Knox, I feel greedy.  He is my reminder that when you pray long and hard for one thing, sometimes God decides to give you something even better... I prayed and fasted for many years for one little baby to call my own.  He granted me that righteous desire and only 10 months into finally experiencing motherhood, he blessed me with the promise of one more!  Knox's pregnancy was fairly eventful (to be told in his birth story), so when his birth was so incredibly fast, as in I never made it out of the laboring tub and my doctor actually didn't make it in time and I delivered him myself with the help of my nurse... it was more than I could have hoped for.  Hands down, the most amazing moment of 2013 was when I was holding this fresh perfect baby in my arms and Parker walked Grey into the room.  When the four of us were piled up in my labor and delivery room bed introducing Grey to his little brother my heart had never been so full!  Those moments when the veil is thin, you realize how much love our Heavenly Father has for his children.  I know how much I love my boys as an imperfect and flawed person, so that is just a tiny glimpse of the love God has for us... it is beyond humbling!
