Why Essential Oils!?
2015 was such a fantastic, yet challenging year for our family. I mean, I was put on bed rest with pregnancy #3, survived the epic 2015 GA ice storm stuck in our house with no power for 3 days, left my job as manager of the Ultrasound department and signed up for the weekend shift, birthed a 3rd beautiful Barnett boy... during P's FINALS, enjoyed a 3rd house flood in the home we were renting in Cumming, discovered black mold, discovered our landlord didn't care, discovered the power of Young Living Essential oils to keep our family well despite these terrible conditions, moved one week before Christmas, put the boxes away and the Christmas tree up just in time and rang in the new year back in Jefferson.... see... action packed year!
With a husband in a doctoral program and away at school all week and three littles under 4 years of age, worries, stress and anxieties creep up. When your 2 year old likes to play with the trash can or lay on the floor at the pediatrician's office during well visits, you come home with new fun germs that aren't so "well". When you are trying to feed a family clean meals with fresh produce, weekly trips to the grocery store and lots of contact with grocery carts are necessary... hence, more germs. When your family is growing and surviving on one income, there is a struggle to balance the cost and safety of the products that enter your home... DIY projects become a necessity. Now, it's beautiful... 2 glass bottles, that if they really wanted to drink, they could... and my counters, glass, and floors look better than ever. My skin is glowing, fine lines and dark circles are gone and I BARELY sleep y'all! I smell good... but, in a way that won't make anyone nauseated and a way that won't cause harm by seeping toxins into my largest organ, aka my skin. My 4 and 2 year old look forward to their oily bedtime routine and if I even think about forgetting, will remind me that I haven't put their oils on them or that their diffuser isn't running yet. The baby loves to teeth on his favorite smelling rollerball. It has become a part of our lifestyle. I'm amazed at the amazing properties of these God given plants and so thankful that we are able to harness those benefits!
